Job Description:

We are seeking a Product Software Licensing Manager to join our growing team in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The Product Software Licensing Manager is a challenging and exciting position within a fast-paced team environment. The Product Software Licensing Manager is exposed to a broad range of inquiries on various licensing topics and understands how the software licensing use rights and agreements work together to provide answers on pricing and general supportability of company products and services. The Product Software Licensing Manager position also plays a role in internal support of the complete family of US Signal products.

Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, organize and track software licensing documentation and records
  • Lead licensing continued education and trainings internally
  • Provide product and licensing support internally and to customers
  • Maintain software vendor relationships and agreements
  • Understand and manage software lifecycles as it pertains to company services
  • Coordinate software End-of-Life transitions
  • Participate in auditing activities and ensure licensing compliance
  • Continued focus on program evolutions to optimize processes and drive company success

Experience and Skills:

Competencies:

  • Thorough understanding of software procurement models
  • Strong understanding of software licensing compliance
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts in a way that others can understand and reproduce
  • Understanding of the service provider industry relative to cloud services
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management, analytical and diplomatic skills
  • Works well with deadlines, under pressure
  • Solid organization and multi-tasking ability
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy

Education:

BS or BA degree in information systems or a related field preferred but not required.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in the Information Technology and/or cloud services industry is required
  • Experience in a service provider environment is preferred
  • Product and/or Project Management experience is preferred

Working conditions and physical demands:

This position operates in a variety of environments. The majority of the time is spent in a professional office environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Required License(s)/Certification(s):

Valid, active driver’s license with a good driving record as defined by the Company’s current insurance provider.
